The Oxford Community Arts Center (OCAC)’s North Parlor will be the location of the Audubon Miami Valley’s 7th annual Student Art Bird Exhibition.  The Exhibit will open with a reception including refreshments (and live birds!) on Saturday, April 14th, 2018 from Noon until 5:00 pm.  The Exhibit will remain on display through Saturday, April 21st, 2018.

Students attending local schools districts (K -12) are able to participate in this art exhibition.  It has an emphasis on learning about Birds of the Midwest or Birds of the Mississippi Flyways as well as how Climate Change is affecting bird populations and behaviors. Students are required to research one bird species (eating habits, habitats, vocalization, colors, size, nesting, etc.) and produce a work of art: either a realistic or graphic representation of the bird, to be entered into this exhibit. The young artists receive a certificate and a ribbon as a participation gift – this exhibition is NOT judged.

Students, their parents, and friends, art teachers, community official, and leaders are invited to view the exhibition which is installed at the Oxford Community Arts Center (10 College Street in Oxford, Ohio) from noon Saturday, April 14th through 2 pm on Saturday, April 21st – during OCAC’s normal operating hours.
