Bruce Murray Concert

Event: Almost Ambient
The concert explores music without the usual sense of drama and narrative prevalent in classical music; music that is reflective and focused on pure beauty. The program spans the past four centuries and includes works by Rameau, Chopin, Liszt, Satie, and others. This is an hour-long antidote to the tumult of modern life.

Murray is a Professor of Music at Miami University. He is an active recitalist, known especially for his performances of Bach, Beethoven, Liszt, and new music. He has performed Bach's Goldberg Variations some fifty times on three continents. Murray's repertoire of concertos includes more than forty works for piano and orchestra.
