Exhibition Opportunities


Artists residing in the United States are invited to submit an application for a juried group exhibition at Oxford Community Art Center. This exhibit will be comprised of both 2D and 3D work.

Summary: To ALIGN is to organize according to line, bring into alignment, or bring into agreement. We are looking for 2D and 3D artworks to be exhibited in a group show which addresses the theme ALIGNED in a broad sense. This may be work that exhibits strong lines, linear arrangement, agreement of forms, shapes, etc., or work that demonstrates the concept of agreement. We encourage artists to approach this theme imaginatively.

Awards will include 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place with potential for a solo show for the 1st place winner.

Entry: Entry fee is $20.

In a single PDF, please provide your CV, artist statement, artist bio, website and/or social media links, and up to three submission images. Submissions must include title, medium, dimensions, and date under each image.

Exhibition Dates: August 12 to September 2, 2022
(Accepted works must arrive no later than July 25, 2022)

Eligibility Requirements: Open to artists residing in the United States

Special Notes: If your work is selected you will be notified and a contract sent. Accepted artworks will be insured while they are at the OCAC. Artists are responsible for transportation and insurance while art is in transit. Work chosen for a show must have been created by the artist within the past 3 years and not have been exhibited within a 50-mile radius of Oxford within the previous 12 months.

Deadline: The Exhibition Committee accepts proposals for individual or group exhibitions at any time throughout the year.

Medium: Any medium, genre, and style are accepted. Digital images of your work indicating titles, dimensions, and media; an artist’s statement and artist’s resume are required at the time of submission.

Exhibition Spaces: The OCAC exhibition space consists of three areas:
♦  Gallery with 41 linear feet
♦  Hall Gallery with 86 linear feet
♦  South Parlor with 41 linear feet

Child's Play

Summary: The OCAC seeks proposals for site-specific, temporary public art that will enliven the College Avenue neighborhood. OCAC encourages proposals for incisive, surprising, and unique sculptures appropriate for a general audience and which will be exhibited on the grounds of the OCAC. The work will be installed for three months and will rotate quarterly.

Deadline: Anytime

Exhibition Dates: Ongoing

Eligibility Requirements: Open to artists in the southwest Ohio area.

Special Notes: Proposals for works that prompt visitors to return multiple times to experience changes in the piece are encouraged.

The Exhibition Committee coordinates Ongoing Artist Proposal, solicits specific Calls for Arts, and oversees the selection process for all exhibitions.

Philosophy: The Exhibition Committee is committed to exhibiting diverse forms of art, particularly artwork created by local artists from Oxford, OH, and the surrounding areas. Originality is the highest priority. Suitability for the space will also be a consideration.
