Oxford Community Arts Center is proud to offer our Illuminating Community exhibit, part of many regional exhibitions this month celebrating photography and lens-based art with support provided by FotoFocus.
Light is the one essential physical property that makes both daily community life and lens-based art possible. Light makes objects in the world visible and colorful, and capable of being transcribed onto a two-dimensional surface to create a photograph or film.
Using light to bring to illuminate perceptions and understanding of community, this exhibit features by local artist and and Samantha French's Marshall Elementary School art students. We invite you to experience our community through the poetic qualities of light as it conjures hope, clarity, reason, and magic.
