Artist Statement

My flower artwork is a result of combining my complete obsession with color and design and exploiting that to recreate the beauty of a garden in full bloom! I paint geometric flower shapes and forms. These contemporary studies allow me to explore color along with abstracted natural shapes in a wild field of textured color. This layered, dense, expressive wild flower painting work is my attempt to create gardens that won’t die, and will remain vibrant, and alive for years to come.

My metalwork started 10 years ago as I began designing functional and decorative metal art for interior and exterior applications. I incorporate my personal illustration style from many years of doing editorial illustration using pen and ink, woodcut, cut-paper and scratchboard, to create my metal designs. I design panoramic metal panels for decks, window guards, gates, fireplace screens, privacy screens, room dividers, and more. I also create wall art, ornaments and decorative garden sculptures. (I donated the window guards in this main gallery of the OCAC a few years ago!)

I love to do commissions in any medium, and enjoy working with clients to create collaborative works of art. If you have a project idea, let’s transform it into a work of art! Call me at 513.335.4495, or write to me at
