Calling all artists! Here is a current list of exhibition opportunities at the OCAC.

Unless otherwise noted in the summary, send the proposal form, a brief third-person artist statement, and digital images of each piece to bonnie@oxarts.org. If selected, you’ll receive the next steps.
PLEASE NOTE: All artwork is insured while on site at OCAC. However, artists are responsible for transportation and insurance while any art is in transit.
CALL FOR ART: Oxford Celebrates Toni Morrison
Summary: Beloved, Ohio Celebrates Toni Morrison is a year-long celebration of the Ohio native and Nobel Laureate in literature, Toni Morrison.
In keeping with those events, OCAC and the Public Arts Commission of Oxford (PACO) invite artists to submit original 2D artwork inspired by themes examined in some of Morrison’s work. These themes include the myriad ways relationships grow and evolve over time, how they are rooted in communities and can change as the surrounding community changes, and how relationships and communities can grow together or grow apart. These themes are particularly highlighted and explored in Toni Morrison's novel Sula as well as her only short story, "Recitatif," which, at their heart, are about the changing nature of relationships and communities over time.
Email up to five (5) images, submission form, and artist statement to Bonnie Kretschmer at bonnie@oxarts.org by the deadline. Late entries will not be accepted.

PLEASE NOTE: Ongoing monthly opportunities and outdoor installations for 2026 and 2027 may be limited due to planned renovations. Please contact OCAC staff before submitting a proposal.

Deadline: The Art Exhibitions Committee accepts proposals for individual or group exhibitions at any time throughout the year.
Medium: Any medium, genre, or style is accepted. Digital images of your work, indicating titles, dimensions, and media; an artist’s statement and artist’s resume are required at the time of submission.
Exhibition Spaces: The OCAC exhibition space consists of three areas on the First Floor:
♦ Browsing Gallery: about 100 linear feet in the south hallways
♦ South Parlor: about 60 linear feet
♦ South Gallery (our 3D art space): about 40 linear feet and about 200 square feet
New exhibits open on the second Friday of each month.
Artists and artworks are featured on Oxford Community Arts Center's social media accounts.
OUTDOOR INSTALLATIONS
Summary: The OCAC seeks proposals for site-specific, temporary public art that will enliven the College Avenue neighborhood. OCAC encourages proposals for incisive, surprising, and unique sculptures appropriate for a general audience and which will be exhibited on the grounds of the OCAC. The work will be installed for three months and will rotate quarterly.
Deadline: Anytime
Exhibition Dates: Ongoing
Eligibility Requirements: Open to artists in the southwest Ohio area.
Special Notes: Proposals for works that prompt visitors to return multiple times to experience changes in the piece are encouraged.
ART EXHIBITIONS
Thank you for your interest in exhibiting your artwork at the Oxford Community Arts Center. We have several opportunities each year for artists to exhibit with us.
The Art Exhibitions Committee coordinates ongoing Artist Proposals, solicits specific Calls For Art, and oversees the selection process for all exhibitions.
Philosophy: The Art Exhibitions Committee is dedicated to showcasing a diverse range of art, with a particular focus on artwork created by local artists from Oxford, OH, and the surrounding areas. Originality is the highest priority. Suitability for the space will also be a consideration.
