Framing the Forgotten: Contemporary Perspectives on WW II Japanese Incarceration in America by Jon Yamashiro
Jon Yamashiro, a Miami University art professor, photographed what remains at the ten historic World War II Japanese Incarceration Camp sites. The resulting photographs raise questions about our collective history and the continuing relevance of race in America.

Knowing Ourselves, Understanding Each Other: The Illustrated Memoir Project by Katie Carlier Currie
Since 2019 the Illustrated Memoir Project has positioned immigrant and refugee youth as the authors of their own stories, providing a platform where they can share their lived experience and unique ways of knowing the world. This exhibit features 19 pieces created by English Language Learners in Cincinnati between 2019 and 2024, and 10 pieces created by young refugees living in Uganda in 2025
Tales of Terrible Beauty by Thomas Pickarski
Five short films that combine unusually themed spoken word stories with old B&W found film footage as the South Gallery is transformed into a darkened theatre.

Mel Edwards - Experience Melford T. Edwards as he delivers a dynamic blend of Gospel, Inspirational, Easy Listening, R&B, Jazz, Soul, Country-Soul, Rock & Roll, Hip-Hop, and Funk. “The Music In Me… A Musical Journey” takes you down memory lane through the melodies that shaped his life's vision.
NEW: Children's Garden Activity for ages 6-13
The Culture Crops program offers FREE, seasonal activities from 6 - 8 PM in the Children's Garden. Each month features a different activity, encouraging curiosity, creativity, and connection through art-making, storytelling, and interactive exploration.

Friday, October 9: Composting Workshop
FREE Activity, Registration Required
Kids explore what happens to leaves, food scraps, and yard waste when they are turned into compost. With guidance from Horticulturist Laura Metz, participants build simple “green and brown” layers in demonstration bins, observe finished compost, and learn about the tiny organisms that help break materials down while brainstorming ways families can reduce waste and support healthy soil at home.
