Ox Chalks the Walks

Oxford Community Arts Center is turning our S. College Ave. sidewalk into a canvas! Join us for Ox Chalks the Walks, a free community celebration of chalk art, creativity, and good old-fashioned fun right outside our front door.
Grab a piece of chalk and get creative in our open chalk art area, or ante up for the Sidewalk Art Contest — $10 entry fee, with CASH prizes in Youth, Adult, and Teacher/Student categories. All chalk supplied. Bring your talent; we've got the rest.
When you're done making your masterpiece, stick around for face painting, balloon art by Silly Willy's Balloons, activities from Lane Library, craft vendors, and live music from the OCAC front porch. Hungry? Deez Tacos and Graeter's Ice Cream will be on hand to keep everyone fueled.

The Sidewalk Art Contest showcases amazing talent across all age groups, from bold designs to delicate details. Every contestant takes home an 18-color chalk set, and cash prizes are awarded in each category.Enter the Sidewalk Art Contest
Categories
- Youth (ages 12 and under)
- Adult (ages 13 and older)
- Teacher/Student Pair (new this year!) — any public or private school art teacher paired with a K–12 student
Rules
Original and sourced works are both welcome this year — just bring your inspiration to show the judges. With cash prizes for both original and sourced work in each category, there are six chances to win!
